Announcing the winners of 2015 LES Asia Pacific Student Business Plan Competition
Each year, the LES Asia Pacific organises a student business plan competition with the aim of helping entrepreneurially-minded students throughout the Asia-Pacific region realise the importance of Intellectual Property as part of a successful business strategy. The top two teams this year received cash prizes worth USD3,000, and USD1,000. The competition this year was hosted by the Licensing Executives Society of Malaysia at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel, Kuala Lumpur.
The four finalists in the 2015 Student Business Plan Competition from Japan, Korea, Singapore and Malaysia presented their final presentations to a panel of judges on September 30, where the winners were subsequently announced at the Gala Dinner on October 1, as follows:
- First Place:
Title of Business Plan: Fake product detection App “XinBao”, which consists of an Application to be used on Smartphones to assist the user in discerning between Genuine and Counterfeit products on the spot.
- Second Place:
Title of Business Plan: Silicon Nano Solid Oxide Fuel Cells (Si-nSOFCs)– Toward Scalability by Low-cost Semiconductor Processes
